WHAT
IS
KEFIR?

What is Kefir?

Kefir is a way of fermenting food or drink so it increases the growth of bacteria in a warm environment to produce a powerful probiotic product for gut performance.

The probiotics feed on the sugar in the water and ferment producing a slightly fizzy, sweet but tart, refreshing taste.

Our kefir products are naturally fermented probiotic-rich dairy and gluten free products made from young green coconuts.

WHY USE PROBIOTICS AND NOT A KEFIR STARTER?

Why use probiotics and not a kefir starter?

Kefir grains contain yeast, and the starter process uses a LOT of sugar for fermentation. Traditional kefir grain starters use milk as the basis for the initial and continual feeding of the grains.  We want the probiotics and fermentation without dairy or grains.

HOW DO
I USE IT?

How do I use it?

Take half a cup before or with meals which will help with digestion. And half a cup at bedtime helps establish a healthy inner ecosystem – the microflora reproduce faster during sleep.

Or, take the full recommended 100ml at breakfast time as a wake up boost. Add unsweetened cranberry or blackcurrant for extra zing!

WHAT IS
FERMENTATION
& WHY IS IT
GOOD FOR
US?

What is fermentation & why is it good for us?

Fermented foods have existed since ancient times – used to nourish and revitalise the body and aid as medicine.
Fermentation is a natural and metabolic process under anaerobic conditions in which an organism converts a carbohydrate, such as sugar or starch, into an alcohol or an acid.
The lactic acid in the fermented product can help to acidify and balance the digestive tract.
The secret to restoring your digestive health is all about balancing out the good and bad bacteria in your gut – you should consider consuming probiotic rich foods on a daily basis.

WHY DO WE ONLY USE GLASS?

Why do we only

use glass?

As the kefir water ferments, it can eat away at plastic, and although the shelf life is short, we don’t want to take a chance on contamination. Glass will not react to the acidity of the ferment, it scratches less easily and does not contain chemicals such as BPA.

 WHY
FERMENT
COCONUT
WATER

Why ferment coconut water?

Coconut water is rich in enzymes, electrolytes (minerals), antioxidants, vitamins and amino acids, with little fat or sugar. Using the combination of fresh coconut water with its natural health qualities and probiotics to produce the fermented coconut kefir water makes it a powerhouse health and wellness tonic.

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT TO COCONUT WATER?

How is it different to coconut water?

Coconut water is the pure water extracted from the inside of a coconut. Coconut Kefir water is the pure coconut water which has been fermented using beneficial and balanced probiotics to create a gut and health supporting delicious drink.
